Dr Wallden is Reader at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, and member of the Laboratory for the Foundations of Computer Science. His research focuses on quantum algorithms, quantum cyber security, verification and benchmarking of QC and the foundations of quantum informatics. He is co-founder of the Quantum Software Lab, leads the software WP at the UK Quantum Computing and Simulation Hub and is deputy co-chair for the Collaborative Computational Project Quantum Computing (CCP-QC). He is an editor of the journal Quantum and of the journal Cryptography, and was general chair of the International Conference on Public Key Cryptography twice.
