quantum algorithms, variational quantum algorithms, causal set theory, quantum nonlocality, device-independent quantum cryptography

Sean Adamson is a postdoctoral research associate in the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh. His principal research interests lie in developing quantum algorithms to address fundamental physics questions within the causal sets approach to quantum gravity. Previously, he has also worked on quantum nonlocality and device-independent quantum cryptographic protocols (nonlocal games, self-testing, etc.).
